Busked in Cheltenham this morning, where I'll be performing at the folk festival in a few weeks. Met some lovely people and sold a few CDs. Also finalised the plan for recording 'Pull Me Down' on Wednesday, but the track needs a bit of reorganising before then, so that's my task tomorrow. Also had my first ever piano lesson today. Haven't had time to start on YouTube yet but planning to get going on it next week. If you have any ideas for covers that I should do, please don't hesitate to contact me via my Facebook page 'Hattie Briggs Music'. See ya, H x
Ahhhhh have just found out I'll be playing live on BBC Radio 2 drive time on Feb 19th during the awards ceremony interval at the Royal Albert Hall. I'll be back stage, but I still reckon I can claim to have performed at the Albert Hall!! This will be my first time performing live on radio, yeeehaa. H x
Really pleased - I've been asked to play at the Cheltenham Folk Festival on the 15th February. Not on the main stage, but it's a good start. I have been given three different slots in different venues, including the newly refurbished Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum - the Wilson, and all the details are on my Events page. Do hope you can come along and support me.
I have been booked again to play in a really nice pub in Tetbury, the Priory Inn, the Stroud Sub Rooms, and at the Falcon in Painswick for the first time. I'm watching the weather forecast now as really hoping to busk on Friday and over the weekend - fingers crossed for slightly better weather. Will let you know where I'm going to be when it looks like it'll be OK. Getting in the studio next week to record 'Pull Me Down' with young producer Pete Waterman, can't wait! Hattie x Hi all,
From today I'm going to start blogging every week to keep you up to date with my news, upcoming gigs, releases etc. Please feel free to comment on anything you like or to contact me through this website. So...this week's big news is that I have decided to drop out of Uni! I can now focus on doing music full time and hopefully make a career out of it. I have recently made plans to work with young producer Pete Waterman (www.peterwaterman.co.uk) and will probably be releasing a second EP around mid summer. I may even release a single in February so watch this space. In other news, I am planning to shoot a video for 'Where Your Love Should Be' in next few weeks. Will be busking in various towns and cities in the next few months - Stroud, Cheltenham, Bristol, Bath etc (keep and eye on my facebook page Hattie Briggs Music in case I'm where you are). I will also be posting regularly on YouTube - live covers and original songs, so make sure to subscribe to my channel if you haven't already! I think that's all for now, Hattie x |
