I have a cover for you this evening of "May You Never" by John Martyn. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhpWU3-sH-U
Please share it around, you know the drill :) Sorry it's been a while, but I've got a couple of crackers coming up in the near future - "Sacred Heart" by The Civil Wars, which is in French, and Ed Sheeran's "I See Fire" (including twiddly guitar bits!) from the sound track of "The Hobbit". Lots to look forward to! Gigs! I have one this Sunday at 4pm in London at Acklam Village Market on the Portobello Road. I've never been before, but apparently it's a pretty cool place, lots to see. If you're free that afternoon then come along! This Wednesday evening I'm playing a great local gig with Henry and Asha at The Frog and Fiddle in Cheltenham. This will be a really good one to come to if you're in the area and haven't yet seen me live, or even if you have seen me live :) Three part harmonies - you won't want to miss it! Head to my events page for tickets! Also coming your way soon - a live filmed version of my new song "A Beautiful Mind", recorded at Yellow Shark Studio in Cheltenham with four fantastic musicians, two of them were previously in John Martyn's band :) It doesn't get much cooler than that! It's gonna be sunny next week I think, so expect some busking alerts! H x What a fantastic night I had on Saturday night doing a gig at my old school Westbourne House - a packed hall, loads of familiar faces, and the first time I have performed with both Asha and Henry at the same time! Thanks to all of you who came along and supported and I really hope that you are enjoying my EP if you bought a copy :)
The next big one is on March 26th at The Frog and Fiddle, Cheltenham. Once again I'll have Henry and Asha performing with me so it'll be a great one to come along to. It's supposed to be sunny this week so I'm hoping to do lots of busking in Cheltenham - another full audience would be fantastic! For tickets to this one see my events page and hopefully I'll see lots of you there! H x This morning I was in Somerset at Somer Valley FM doing an interview and live performances for Rob Bayly. We had a great chat interspersed with about 7 tracks from me over the space of an hour - a very enjoyable way to spend the morning. The show will be repeated on Tuesday for those who missed it, but you can also catch up here http://www.podcasts.canstream.co.uk/svalley/index.php?cat=Rob%20Baylys%20Eclectic%20Select - I was there in the second hour, the top link on the page. Enjoy!
Been practicing lots with Asha for the Westbourne gig on Saturday night and it's sounding great (though I do say so myself) so really excited for that now. Asha plays cello and Henry will be there with us as well so 3 part harmonies will be ringing throughout the hall :) If you are in West Sussex this Saturday and haven't heard about this gig until now, you can find all the details on my events page. I wrote a new song last week on the guitar about Pete Seeger, the King of folk, who passed away several weeks ago. I look forward to sharing it with you all soon. In other news, today I have been confirmed for a slot at the Cheltenham Jazz Fringe Festival! I'll be performing on the free stage on May 1st so hopefully see lots of you from Gloucestershire there! That's all for now. H :-) x Today I headed to Brighton for a recording with 'The Loft Sessions'. I played two songs for them - Tilly's Song and a new song called 'God Speed' both of which were filmed. The latter will be appearing tomorrow on YouTube so keep an eye on my Facebook page and Twitter for that one.
If you missed the session that Henry and I did with The Preview Show, Oxford then you can catch it here http://vimeo.com/87696632 - the track is 'Where Your Love Should Be'. Tomorrow I'll be busking at Gloucester Quays from 1:30pm - there's a special market going on for most of the day and it's supposed to be sunny. If you don't have plans why not come along :) I have heard that I'm on BBC Introducing in the West this evening so keep an ear out for 'Pull Me Down' if you're tuning in. On March the 6th I'll be heading to Somerset for a session with Somer Valley Radio. Other things coming up this month include a gig in Sussex on March 8th, a session with half of John Martyn's band in Cheltenham, a session with Bristol Couch, a gig on Portobello Road, London on 23rd March and then a fantastic local gig on March 26th at The Frog Barn on Cheltenham High St. If you're in Gloucestershire, that will be a great gig to come to, tickets available from my events page. New and exciting gigs and festivals coming in all the time - keep an eye on my events page. H x |
